This End User License Agreement (EULA) is a legal agreement between you (the "Licensee") and SilkType (the "Licensor"). By downloading, installing, or using SilkType fonts, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA.
1.1 Company Name: SilkType
1.2 Jurisdiction: Iceland
Subject to the terms and conditions of this EULA, SilkType grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SilkType web fonts (the "Fonts") for the following purposes:
a. Website Usage: The Licensee may use the Fonts to display text on websites owned or controlled by the Licensee.
b. Number of Views: The Licensee may choose from the following licensing options, based on the number of views: 10,000 views, 100,000 views, or 1,000,000 views.
If the Fonts are updated, the Licensee will receive a new download link via email. This ensures that Licensees always have access to the latest version of the Fonts, which may include bug fixes, enhancements, or additional characters.
The Fonts are provided in WOFF (Web Open Font Format) and WOFF2 formats. These formats are widely supported by modern web browsers, ensuring compatibility and consistent display across various devices and platforms.
The Licensee may not:
a. Redistribute or Resell: Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the Fonts in any form, whether individually or as part of a larger package.
b. Modification: Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Fonts without prior written consent from SilkType.
c. Embed in Software: Embed the Fonts in software applications or distribute them as part of software without obtaining a separate license.
d. Share License: Share, transfer, or assign the License to any third party without written permission from SilkType.
Subject to the terms and conditions of this EULA, SilkType grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SilkType desktop fonts (the "Fonts") for the following purposes:
a. Personal and Commercial Use: The Licensee may use the Fonts for personal or commercial purposes, including but not limited to printed materials, digital documents, and graphic design projects.
b. Number of Users: The Licensee may choose from the following licensing options, based on the number of users: 1-3 users, 4-7 users, or 8-12 users.
If the Fonts are updated, the Licensee will receive a new download link via email, ensuring access to the latest version of the Fonts.
The Licensee may not:
a. Redistribute or Resell: Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the Fonts in any form, whether individually or as part of a larger package.
b. Modification: Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Fonts without prior written consent from SilkType.
c. Embed in Software: Embed the Fonts in software applications or distribute them as part of software without obtaining a separate license.
d. Share License: Share, transfer, or assign the License to any third party without written permission from SilkType.
SilkType retains all intellectual property rights to the Fonts. The Licensee acknowledges that no title or ownership to the Fonts is transferred. This EULA does not grant the Licensee any rights to the design, source code, or any other proprietary elements of the Fonts.
The Fonts are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. While SilkType strives to ensure the Fonts' quality and functionality, SilkType does not guarantee that the Fonts will be error-free or meet all individual requirements.
In no event shall SilkType be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Fonts. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits.
This EULA is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if the Licensee fails to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, the Licensee must cease all use of the Fonts and delete all copies of the Fonts.
This EULA is governed by the laws of Iceland. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this EULA shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Iceland, and the Licensee consents to the jurisdiction of such courts.
In the event of a dispute between the Licensee and SilkType arising from this EULA, both parties agree to seek resolution through arbitration, in accordance with the rules and procedures of the Iceland Arbitration Association. Arbitration provides an alternative means of dispute resolution, avoiding the need for costly and time-consuming litigation.
